The Roman Catholic Church of The Holy Innocents is located in the Fashion Center, mid-town Manhattan. Founded in 1866, the mission of the church is to be a spiritual oasis in one of busiest business districts in the world - Times/Herald Square. The celebration of three daily Masses, including one daily Mass in the Tridentine Latin Rite, confession, and public devotions, enable visitors time for personal and communal prayer. Fr. George W. Rutler is the Administrator of Holy Innocents.

The Solemnity of All Saints falls on a Saturday this year, November 1st, and, although attendance at Mass is encouraged, the obligation is abrogated.  We will offer Mass for All Saints at 1:00 pm in Extraordinary Form (Tridentine Latin). The 4:00 pm Vigil Mass on Saturday will be an anticipated Mass for the Commemoration of the Faithful Departed (All Souls).
According to the liturgical calendar of 1962, when November 2nd falls on a Sunday, All Souls’ Day is transferred to Monday, November 3rd.  Therefore, next Sunday will celebrate the 21st Sunday after Pentecost at the Tridentine Latin Mass at 10:30 am, and All Souls will be observed on Monday, November 3rd at 6:00pm.  In the revised calendar of 1969 (the General Calendar which the Ordinary Form follows), this is not the case. The Commemoration of the Faithful Departed (All Souls) will be observed at the 12:30pm Novus Ordo Mass on Sunday, November 2nd.
[FrGroeschel] Fr. Benedict Groeschel, CFR, who, for several decades enlightened our parishioners with his popular third Saturday Gospel Conferences, and together with the Franciscan Friars & Sisters of the Renewal, was at the forefront of our Pro-Life Witness on the annual Feast of the Holy Innocents, passed away on Friday, October 3rd.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may he rest in peace!
The funeral Mass was held on Friday, October 10th at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ. (The burial was at the Most Blessed Sacrament Friary, Newark, NJ) More details may be found at http://franciscanfriars.com/father-benedict/
